From Ash

ABOUT
Inspired by Tongo Eisen-Martin’s 2015 poetry collection Someone’s Dead Already, From Ash stages a post-apocalyptic world in which survivors and spirits come together in an eerie, evocative dreamscape. In this world, Eisen-Martin’s poems are spoken aloud by the dancers, and act as catalysts for movement. This evening-length work was supported by an Opportunity Fund Award, a program of ODC Theater & the Kenneth Rainin Foundation and the Zellerbach Family Foundation.
